Both teams have named a younger squad for the T20 series so there should be plenty of excitment.

How the Teams Stand

England should be full of confidence after the test series as they demolished the former number 1 team India. England have been just as good in the shorter formats over the past few months as they beat Sri Lanka only a few weeks ago. They have some extremely talented players in the squad for the T20 and the World will see the youth of the England team and what to expect in the coming years. Kieswetter is a player that has been in the England shorter format squads for a while now and for thios T20 will be one of the experienced players and he will have to get England off to a good start. The other opener is a young man named Alex Hales and it is said that many teams fear him because of his slugging ability and is now his time to shine. Jane Derbach has impressed the England camp over the past few months but has still failed to cement his spot in the ODI team so he would want to show England what he can do.

The past few weeks would like to be forgotten by India and they have to forget them or the face the wrath of England in the other formats. They have left out many experienced players for this match of who are Gambhir, Tendulkar but at the age of 38 Rahul Dravid will make his first apperance in a T20 international. The recent tour matches for India may give them some slight confidence although they were not conmvincing and really tight. Many people all around the world have seen most of the Indian T20 team despite lack of experience in the international arena and that is the IPL so England must watch out for these players. Virat Kohli has not been good recently and he was dropped in the tests so he must come back with a big score to signal to the selectors he can play cricket. The bowling attack includes Mishra, Ashwin, Vinay Kumar, Praveen Kumar and Munaf Patel and that is quite a good attack as they have all done well in the IPL.
