India vs England 3rd ODI Preview

What an interesting few months it has been for India and England with England dominating India in England but now it is the other way round with England struggling for a win. They move on to the 3rd ODI in a last chance situation because if England lose this they lose the ODI series and India will be very happy about that and their confidence levels will grow higher and higher during this tour. The inexperienced bowlers will have to find some spark on this Indian pitches to keep England in this series.

How the Teams Stand:

India have looked good all series and look much comfortable at home than they did in England. With a 2-0 lead in this ODI series India will be hoping to ruin England’s hopes of a massive comeback and seal the series in this match which would be a confidence booster. India are dominating England and with 2 results backed up by bowlers and batsman that is why they lead. The batting has been magnificent with some huge scores which included a 200 run parntership between Gambhir and Kohli which lead India to a 2nd ODI victory. India are not usually considered one of the better bowling attacks in the world at the moment but they have showed they can take wickets and it is good to see their is a share of wickets amongst the bowlers. All India need to do is get a few early wickets and make England feel worried and they should have the game in the bag.

England were looking unstoppable a month ago but with a younger inexperienced side that might be why they are failing epically in India as they are 2-0 down. This will be a last chance ditch to get a comeback and turn this series on its head and although its unlikely you never know with England when they play in India like in the World Cup. The batting looked better in the 2nd ODI but it is really the bowling that is letting England down with only 6 wickets being taken by their bowlers against India in the ODI’s. Dernbach really needs to step up alongside Bresnan and Finn who have a good deal of experience as England need wickets against India in India to stand a chance as India thrive at home. Cook and Kieswetter will also need to start well so they put India on the back foot and that could lead to some undisciplined bowling.
