The Warriors and Uthura will play their first match of the campaign at the Pallekele with either team yet to pick up a win in the tournament after playing 2 matches. They are also the only two teams who have not managed to win a point so this game will decide who will be the only win less team in the competition. Uthura have had a big problem with the ball in their last two matches having only picked up 4 wickets. The Kandurata Warriors have the opposite problem with their players not being able to score runs besides a Perera cameo.

Saeed Ajmal vs Imran Farhat
Saeed Ajmal and Imran Farhat will know each other’s games quite well. Both teams heavily rely on these two Pakistan internationals and they will need to live up to their expectations and succeed which is something they have shown signs of. Farhat looked the deal when he smashed 51 off 22 in the first game but a duck being dismissed by Malinga will be concerning and he will be looking to get back on track even if that means smashing his friend over the ropes a few times. Ajmal has not shown his potential and with Johan Botha waiting on the sidelines for a call up he will have to succeed sometime soon and will need to get that wicket tally moving fast.
Kandurata have struggled with the bat in particular which could mean a few changes including the axing of Misbah-ul-Haq who could be replaced by Dane Vilas or the Australian All rounder Adam Voges. Vithanage has struggled at the top of the order meaning they could bring in the veteran Sanath Jayasuriya.
Kevon Cooper and Kyle Mills could both find themselves dropped after not exceeding the expectations of themselves only taking 2 wickets between them. Samuel Badree could replace his country counter path Cooper and Dillon du Preez could slot in for Kyle Mills.
